Why Develop an Oracle PDP for Auditors and Accountants?
Complex Applications: Oracle’s Financial Suite of applications is very complex. Oracle embedded best practices into the design of these applications; however, many of these best practices are profile options or configuration parameters that must be defined by the end user. There are hundreds of profile options and configuration parameters that must be set properly to ensure that the Oracle Financial applications are configured using Oracle and Industry best practices. A single profile option, if set incorrectly, can significantly increase the risk that Financial Statements are stated incorrectly. Similarly, a company may not be compliant with the laws and regulations that impact its industry.
Lack of ERP Expertise: Typically auditors are very good at auditing, but many auditors don’t have any Oracle ERP experience. This increases the risk that auditors may not recognize a major risk or they may not be able to provide a proper risk assessment. Accounting professionals may also want to develop similar skills.
Climb Higher: We designed this Oracle PDP for Auditing and Accounting Professionals to help them acquire some basic Oracle skills. Moreover, auditors and accountants with these skills are able to “climb higher” and differentiate themselves from the auditors and accountants who lack these skills.
