Our Training Objectives
Our objective is to provide prospective members of our network of Oracle GRC, Security and Controls Contract Professionals with access to the tools, resources and training courseware that they can use as self study tools to become proficient implementing, configuring and using the Oracle GRC applications. Moreover, we provide our students with access to the Oracle GRC applications to enable them to gain hands on experience by completing course exercises and practicing on their own.
We want to groom our students to become Oracle GRC Professional Contractors that we can place on Oracle GRC Projects.
Student Requirements
To qualify to participate in the OIC Oracle GRC Training Program, students must meet the following requirements:
- The student must have, at least, five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
- Accounting
- Auditing
- Risk Assessment
- Risk Management
- Hyperion Financial Management
- Oracle Financials
- Other related field
- Student must have access to the Oracle GRC applications
- The student should have experience working on GRC initiatives (a plus)
- The student understands internal controls such as:
- Restricted Application Access
- Segregation of Duties (SOD)
- Transaction Controls
- Student is familiar with Sections 302 and 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002
- Student is computer literate
- Student has very good written and oral communication skills
Overview of Training Platform
The following tables identifies and describes the Learning Materials that are included in our Oracle GRC Training Platform. The OIC Training Platform is designed to provide the student with an opportunity to gain hands on experience working with the Oracle GRC applications.

Oracle GRC Sandbox | Includes Oracle GRCC 8.6, Oracle CCG 5.5.1, and Oracle PCG 7.3.2. We are also installing Oracle GRC Intelligence (GRCI) 3.01 and GRC Manager (GRCM) 8.01. |
Requirements Mapping Document | Identifies common Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) requirements and maps these requirements to functionality provided by a specific Oracle GRC application. This document maps directly back to the Oracle User Guide for an Oracle GRC application. |
PowerPoint Courseware | Provides a concise and abbreviated version of training for one or more tasks associated with a Chapter Title or Subtitle in an Oracle GRC manual. |
Word Training Document | Provides detailed information and illustrations to show you how to complete a specific task associated with a Chapter Title or Subtitle in an Oracle GRC manual. They include more screen prints than the Oracle Manual. Moreover, they include sections for Best Practices and Lessons Learned. |
Oracle GRC Setup Documents | Used to document the actual configuration of each of the Oracle GRC applications. These documents map back directly to the appropriate Oracle GRC Implementation Guide and address every step that is required or optional to configure the Oracle GRC application. We have also embedded the appropriate PowerPoint Courseware for each step. |
Oracle GRC Testing | You can leverage the Process Steps table in the Requirements Mapping Document to test Oracle GRC functionality. |
Predefined Access Policies / Controls | We have augmented Oracle’s list of predefined Access Policies and Controls with additional Access Policies and Controls |
Training Documents with Audio | Includes many of the documents listed above with audio added |
